College Counseling

College counseling service at Seoul International Academy provides support and guidance to students as they navigate the college admission process. This may include assistance with college search and selection, assistance with the college application process, including essays and financial aid applications, information about standardized tests such as the SAT or ACT, and individual or group counseling sessions. We also offer college fairs, visits from college representatives, and other events to help students learn about their options and make informed decisions about their post-secondary education. The ultimate goal of college counseling services is to help students find the best fit college or university for their individual needs and interests and to provide support throughout the application process.
  • College search and selection: College counselors at Seoul International Academy help students identify colleges that align with their interests, academic strengths, and career goals. We provide information about different types of colleges (e.g. public vs. private, liberal arts vs. research universities), the admission requirements and selection criteria used by each college, and the campus culture and atmosphere.
  • College application assistance: College counselors assist students with completing college applications, including ensuring that all required materials are submitted by the appropriate deadline. We review student essays and provide feedback to help students present their best selves to the colleges. We also help students with the financial aid application process, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and understanding scholarship and grant opportunities.
  • Testing information: College counselors provide information about standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and Advanced Placement (AP) exams. We also provide test preparation resources, including sample test questions and practice exams, and guidance on when and how often to take these tests.
  • Individual and group counseling sessions: College counselors offer one-on-one counseling sessions to help students navigate the college admission process, make informed decisions about their future, and address any personal, academic, or social concerns they may have. We also lead group counseling sessions to provide students with the opportunity to discuss their college plans with peers and receive support and guidance from the counselor.
  • College fairs and visits: We, Seoul International Academy host college fairs where students can meet with college representatives and learn about the admission process, campus life, and the majors and programs offered by each college. We also arrange college visits, where students can tour the campus and learn more about the college.
